POSTAL: Bullet Paradise was a cancelled spin-off title in the POSTAL series. It was being developed by Goonswarm Games and published by Running with Scissors, before fan backlash over the use of generative AI prompted RWS to cut ties with the developer and shut the project down, with no release date ever being announced.
Premise[]
It's the future and everyone is out to kill The POSTAL DUDE.
Marketing Blurb[]
POSTAL: Bullet Paradise throws the Dude straight into the Shitty Future, a world where every robot, psycho, mutant, and corporate goon wants you very, very dead. Good news: you don’t care. Even better news: there’s plenty of junk lying around that can be turned into guns, bombs, or whatever else makes things explode. This is a bullet-heaven shooter with online co-op, an arsenal of improvised weapons, and more psychos than the Dude has unpaid parking tickets. Pick your favorite Dude from across the POSTAL multiverse and carve your way through waves of chaos, upgrades, and stupidly dangerous power fantasy moments.
Gameplay[]
The game would have played as a roguelike, where you collect upgrade cards. Rather then the open world or linear levels of previous titles, the game consisted of arenas containing waves of enemies. The game was still first person, and for the first time you could dual wield any two weapons without consuming powerups.
Development[]
The game was announced on December 3rd, 2025 via Running With Scissor's Twitter/X. The game received immediate backlash at what appeared to be generative AI assets in the pre-alpha trailer. This led to Running With Scissors to post a now deleted statement on Twitter/X claiming that no AI was used in the game.[1]
Cancellation[]
On the 4th of December 2025, one day after announcing the game, Running With Scissors announced on X[2] that they had killed the project after overwhelming backlash concerning the use of generative AI for marketing material and game assets. The game has been removed from their website. The trailer was also made private on YouTube. Shortly after, Goonswarm Games would announce the shutting down of their studio.
Trivia[]
- This would've been the third POSTAL game to intentionally use low poly models and pixel graphics, after Brain Damaged and POOSTALL Royale.
