The Machine Gun is the starting weapon that the player receives in the original POSTAL. It has unlimited ammunition. It also has unlimited range.
In POSTAL Redux[]
While retaining most of its functionality, the Machine Gun's range has been reduced in Redux. To compensate for this change, its rate of fire has been increased exponentially.
Trivia[]
- The Machine Gun in POSTAL doesn't based on any guns in real life. But in Redux, it's visually based on the H&K MP5K.
- In Postal Redux, there is enough shotgun ammo to kill most Hostiles in the game, almost all of them, making the Machine Gun obsolete at close range, unless trying to save ammo for problematic levels.
- Curiously, one of Postal 1’s achievements call it an M16.
